ITC has been actively involved in designing and implementing systems which help monitor and eventually mitigate environmental hazards such as: floods, landslides, air and water pollution. The solutions have been implemented in response to the needs of local communities affected by these hazards. We have developed online monitoring and control solutions based on modern data acquisition, communication and processing technologies. These solutions provide decisional support for authorities in or before emergency situations.

ITC provides solutions for managing flood hazard, based on online monitoring and analysis of environment parameters (flow rate, water level, air temperature, precipitations).

By using flood hazard management, authorities are able to control better the emergency situations, coordinate staff more efficiently and provide information to population in a timely manner.

The solutions are based on modern IT technologies:

Automated data acquisition systems;
Databases and data warehouses;
GIS technologies used to render information in spatial and temporal coordinates;
Modelling and simulation.

ITC provides solutions for managing land slide hazard. These solutions are based on the following usual components:

Real-time data acquisition platform (various sensors) with communication to the control center;
Data storage and processing by means of modelling techniques;
Online services accessible through Internet with integrated GIS features.

ITC offers a complex solution for monitoring and evaluating the air pollution levels, in order to control the impact of urban transportation to the environment.

The system monitors concentrations of polluting agents such as CO, NO2, SO2 as well as temperature and is composed of:

Local measurement and display systems;
Central dispatch for data gathering and communications;
Back-office software for data processing;
Reporting system for automatic and on-demand reporting;
Notification system for e-mail notifications.

ITC offers a solution for evaluating the pollution hazard of soil and water. The solution is based on in-situ electro-kinetic bioremediation.

The solution is composed of several software modules integrated in a single platform in order to provide functions for managing the risk of pollution by petrochemical products. With the help of the platform, risk factors for soil and water pollution are identified, analyzed, constantly monitored and reported, and plans are executed and monitored to reduce the pollution levels.
