ITC has elabourated an advanced S&T technological solution for reducing vulnerability and fighting against flood consequences in large cities, based on a real-time environment parameters evaluation system according to the current infrastructure technical state.
The system uses advanced technologies (automatic field-data acquisition systems, wireless communication, relational database systems, integrated analyses environments, modelling and forecast technologies, GIS environments, mobile devices used to coordinate activities) and will offer complex S&T monitoring, control and warning services.
